Are YOU registered to VOTE?

May 9, 2014

calls_for_action_sub i-am-the-rp-voteWe just came back from California Association of REALTORS® meetings in Sacramento where we met our legislators to promote the agenda of the REALTOR PARTY.  During the meetings we were told that 20% of our REALTOR® members are not even registered to VOTE. Carrying that idea a step further, are you a registered voter in your precinct? If not, pick up a registration card at the Post Office, the Delta Association of Realtors® in Antioch or step in to the Prudential office on Bixler Road.  You can also go online to  It is vitally important to make your voice heard as we seem to be always facing local, state and national critical issues.

I am proud to say as a member of the REALTOR® Party, we are YOUR advocate for homeownership.  Just this month in Sacramento we met with our legislative contacts concerning serious and significant  issues facing both the real estate industry and homeowners in the State of California.  We will also be supporting these same ideals in Washington DC in mid May. For starters, the REALTOR® Party continues to support retaining mortgage interest as a tax deduction, reforming but retaining the concept of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac as a loan guarantor as well as local issues to stop point of sale mandates and unnecessary recording fees or taxes.

Watch for the National Association of REALTORS® to reach out to consumers with a “CALL TO ACTION” to respond quickly to “hot” issues that affect both the concept of home ownership as well as our pocketbooks.  If you want to be on that mailing list, send me your email and I will forward the Legislative calls to action that I receive, directly to you.
